Questions from owners abroad
How do I receive the rent?
Into your NRO account after the applicable TDS deduction, with a monthly statement. If a family member in India collects on your behalf, we can route it that way instead.
What about TDS on rent?
Rent paid to an NRI attracts TDS at the rates in force, deducted by the tenant and deposited against your PAN. We keep the paperwork organised for your CA — we are not tax advisors and would not pretend to be.
My house is locked and empty. Is it worth managing?
Often it is the case that needs it most. Empty houses deteriorate quietly and are the ones most at risk of unauthorised occupation. Our care plan covers regular visits, cleaning, minor repairs and bill payments.
Can you find a tenant if the property is vacant?
Yes. We advertise it, screen applicants, verify their identity and employment, and draft the agreement. The placement fee is one month's rent for leases under three years.
What if I want to sell instead?
We will value it honestly and handle the sale — visits, buyers, negotiation and registration — while you join by video call.
